Jason’s time spent aboard his grandfather’s yacht in Lake Powell, as well as a feverish love for free diving have naturally brought Jason to the sea. As a graduate of The Chapman School of Seamanship Professional Mariner Training program Jason has opted to further cultivate his skill and knowledge as a mariner aboard the Caribbean Sparkle.
Laura hails from a long line of great chefs, including her Grandmother, Mother, and both Aunts. Her extensive background in restaurants and catering further helped her to perfect her skills. Specializing in local products and Mediterranean inspired flavors, Laura is proud to share her talents and creations with you. Enjoy! For over 12 years, I have been working as a Chef on motor yachts and have extensive charting experience.
A career as a Chef provided me with the perfect opportunity to combine my love of travel, meeting new people and cooking.
As a native Torontonian, I was exposed to a very diverse cultural environment at an early age. I spent my childhood growing up in Kensington Market, an international market place with foods from around the world.
Through this passion I have found myself traveling to South East Asia, Mexico, The Bahamas, Cuba, and Central America, as well as many North American cities like New Orleans, New York City, Nantucket, Montreal and everywhere in between. My many travels afforded me the opportunity to become familiar with many different cultural tastes and incorporate these into my already present love of cooking.
I have also worked as a Publicist and Special Event Planner for over eight years.
I bring great enthusiasm to my work and a very friendly and caring attitude towards my guests.
Rebecca grew up in Colebrook, a small town in New Hampshire, about eight miles from the Canadian border. She graduated from Colebrook Academy with honors in 2000, and then moved to Nantucket Island on Cape Cod to live near the beach. Within a week she was working as a nanny for three more summers after that with the same family. During the winter she lived in South Florida working in fine dining restaurants as a server and bartender. While doing some boat detail on the side, she had an opportunity to fish in a tournament and fell in love with boating instantly. Rebecca is STCW certified. Although new to Caribbean Sparkle, she has been working as a stewardess for the past three years on various motor yachts. She is dedicated to providing Five Star service for the guests aboard Caribbean Sparkle and to help make their vacation a once in a lifetime experience. Rebecca is passionate about her job, cooking, and traveling. This fall she will attend the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, majoring in culinary arts with a minor in marketing. She is looking forward to working as a Chef one day aboard a motor yacht.
