PARTY GIRL CREW PROFILES

1)      CAPTAIN      Scott Barsin

NATIONALITY       American

QUALIFICATIONS

My boating experience began sailing on the lakes near my childhood home in Ohio.  Our family vacations were spent cruising the waters around New York, Florida and the Caribbean.

Choosing a career  and college were easy decisions for me.  I wanted to be on the water, which led me to the New York Maritime College. After four years of grueling misery, I graduated with a Science degree and (most importantly) a Ship’s Officer license from the Coast Guard!

Two weeks later I was employed aboard a three masted stay-sail schooner for Windjammer Cruise Lines. Since then I have worked in all aspects of the Marine Industry, both on-board vessels and in shore-side support.

So far, yachting has been the highlight of my career. The industry has exposed me to fascinating people, beautiful destinations and a network of friends that spans the globe.

When not working, I enjoy a good read, tennis, home improvement projects and ‘yes’ travel!
