MIRA offers the elegance of a traditional yacht plus the fine sailing performance of modern hull design.  Add in her top notch British crew, Captain Argan Bailey and Chef Athene Macrae and you have the perfect platform for a memorable sailing vacation. 

Three en suite cabins accommodate 6 guests.  The aft master has a king-size bed and overstuffed sofa.  Forward of the saloon, the port guest cabin has a double bed and the starboard cabin offers upper lower singles.

MIRA accommodates 6 guests in 3 cabins with en suite facilities. The Master cabin has a king size bed and sofa. One guest cabin has a double bed; the second guest cabin has upper/lower singles.  MIRA is fully air conditioned through out. Crew has a separate head and shower.

Captain  Argan Bailey, British, 30



Growing up in a family of sea lovers gave Argan a head start, sailing at every opportunity from early childhood. Argan also began cooking at a young age.  He worked alongside his mother, a chef well-known for catering exclusive weddings and events, gaining experience in all aspects of high-end cuisine and service.



With these well-developed skills and solid experience, Argan found the yacht charter industry a natural fit for doing what he loves – sailing, cooking and meeting people from all over the world.



Argan is enthusiastic and dedicated to giving guests onboard S/Y Mira the very best. Whether you prefer sailing hard on the wind, or just relaxing in a tranquil bay enjoying fine food and refreshing drinks, you will find that Argan is committed to making your holiday a fun, safe and memorable experience.

Athene is most passionate about two things in life, food and the Ocean. Having found a career that marries these two obsessions, you will find an extremely happy chef on board. In the years previous to working on Boats Athene worked in a variety of Kitchens, perhaps the best known being the groundbreaking Brighton based restaurant 'Food for Friends'. 



Athene prides herself on her ability to create super healthy and exciting menus taking inspiration from a wide variety of cuisines including Italian, French, Middle Eastern, Spanish, Indian and Asian. Athene will only use the freshest ingredients available and sources organic produce wherever possible. Providing they are biting she will also catch, prepare and serve you fish fresh from the Mediterranean to table in a matter of minutes.



Athene is extremely practical and hands on when it comes to sailing and is often found manning the helm in-between meals. She is very sociable and enjoys chatting to guests when they wish and is always on hand to do whatever it takes to make their stay as comfortable as possible on board.

Salmon and Dill fishcakes with a green bean tricol or salad with a chilli and lime dressing



Freshly made mediterranean puff pastry pizza served with a rocket and parmesan salad 





Dinner



Salmon poached in white wine and herb butter with new potatoes and green beans lightly tossed in lemon oil 



Roast shoulder of lamb with caper berry sauce accompanied by honey red peppers and creamy mashed potato



Chicken breast wrapped in prosciutto and stuffed with fresh pesto with fresh tomato sauce accompanied by steamed spinach and pan fried courgettes



Filet of beef in peppercorn sauce served with potato gratin and braised red cabbage



Oven roasted sea bass served with green bean salad, sauteed garlic potatoes and peas 





Desserts



Poached cinnamon peaches served with vanilla yogurt



Individual zesty lemon cheesecakes



Apple and ginger crumble served with vanilla custard



Hot chocolate brownie served with vanilla ice cream
