Harvey Rogers

Captain
Harvey Rogers

Harvey Rogers, born in 1973, from Gloucestershire, England, has been a keen seaman from a young age. After achieving a bachelor degree in marketing Harvey managed restaurants, food export, and was an area manager in the retail sector before leaving the UK to follow a passion for the ocean.

Teaching diving, power boating and sailing led Harvey through Thailand, Egypt, The Maldives and Bermuda to the Caribbean in 2008, where he has a lot of experience sailing and motoring throughout the Caribbean chain, and particularly The British Virgin Islands, where he, his wife "Rabbit", and dog Starboard now call home. Harvey is a certified RYA Ocean Yachtmaster for sail and power (offshore).

Having chartered in and around the BVI for many years, Harvey’s local knowledge and friendliness with everyone he meets will ensure that yours is a vacation to remember.

His dry British humour and one liners are always a great hit with guests, and the stories he tells about the islands and adventures at sea bring people back time and again.

Harvey's calm and competent attitude makes for very relaxed sailing, and he is complimented perfectly by Marley’s overt and gregarious nature. Harvey and Marley's years of experience in providing superb customer service ensure unforgettable memories, and a truly exceptional Caribbean yacht charter experience.

Originally from Romania, where the big river Danube meets the Black Sea, Nicoleta graduated from The University of Art & History in Bucharest, and started traveling to Barcelona, Spain “the perfect place to live". The Mediterranean Sea inspired her to get into yachting world sailing around The Balearics and Italian Coast , from Monaco to Capri Island.

All this time she experimented with the rich and healthy Mediterranean cuisine and totally fall in love with it. Her new passion for cooking took her to Girona, to ‘El Celler de Can Roca’ The best restaurant in the world 2013 and 2015, to learn about cooking techniques such as sous vide directly from the Masters. From there she then took further intensive training with the award-winning Ashburton Chefs Academy.

In 2012 Nicoleta crossed the Atlantic on a 50’ Lagoon catamaran from Gibraltar to The British Virgin Islands, and has worked as a charter chef since that time, wowing guests with her fantastic skills and passion for art.

As she studied Art Restoration, Nicoleta feels art is a way to express feelings but the culinary art is special because it brings the good feelings of happiness, pleasure and excitement. She is happy to hear her guests saying that they have had, for one week, an exciting culinary experience eating healthy, varied and fantastically presented food.

Combining her joy for cooking with SCUBA diving, hiking and painting on her favourite island Anegada, Nicoleta is happy to share all this with her guests, and loves to see them satisfied with big smiles on their faces.
